My Organisation, Joy Human Development, is a Zambian community based organisation, registered on 15 May 2003 in Lusaka District. Currently, Joy Human Development (JHD) is operating in the two provinces, namely, Central (Kabwe and Mumbwa) and Northern province in Kasama.

MISSION STATEMENT

To achieve social, economic, environmental and sustainable development to the community through working together.

MAIN OBJECTIVE

To provide malaria, HIV/AIDS, T.B training workshops, education and control as health and general education to vulnerable communities at grassroots level.
JHD works predominantly with those most at risk, including children under five years old, pregnant women, orphans, widows, people and children with disabilities and families in poverty.

JHD use arts and crafts, drama and sport as tools to empower women and children
JHD is taking an active role in encouraging education at an early stage in school, to help educate and encourage people to apply preventive measures and change their behaviour towards malaria, HIV/AIDS, and T.B.

JHD offers support for victims of violence and sexual abuse with counselling available for victims.

JHD also provides advice on health matters and sexual education for the
community.
